About Flora Canopy
A small indoor plant studio in Kolkata. We keep a short, honest list of plants, say exactly what light they need, and stay reachable long after delivery.

Our story
Flora Canopy started with one money plant on a rented Kolkata windowsill and a simple frustration: plants arrived beautiful, declined quietly, and nobody explained why.
So we built the shop we wanted — a short list, each plant labelled with the light it truly needs, bought in small batches from growers we visit and root-check ourselves, and chosen because they hold up through an Indian summer and the monsoon.
What we will not do
Sell a plant we would not keep ourselves, invent reviews, or photograph a plant in light it will never get in your home.
Our promise
Replaced within 7 days
Send a photo if it arrives unhappy and we send another. No receipts, no returns.
Potted the week you order
Root-checked by hand and shipped within two days — never warehouse stock.
A grower on call, for life
Message a photo any time. Someone who grows these plants answers.

- Care that outlives checkoutGuides for every season and a grower on call.
How to choose a plant
Three decisions settle it. Everything else is detail.

Our growers
We know the people who raise them
Small batches from nurseries we have walked through ourselves — which is why the list is short, and why some plants sell out for a season instead of being flown in to fill a gap.

WateringHow often to water indoor plants
Check two inches down before you water — and far less often through the monsoon. Most plants drown rather than dry out.
LightBest plants for a west-facing balcony
Afternoon sun through glass scorches leaves, hardest from April to June. A foot of shade changes everything.
Low lightLow-light plants that actually survive
Shaded flats and north-facing rooms need the right species, not a grow light.
